This then is simply what my paintings are about. People and faces which
fascinate, or moments in time which I wish to capture and share. I was lucky
enough to be born in a time and place, which allowed me the opportunity to
try and do so.
It would also be a joy for me, if a young artist, should not only derive
some enjoyment from my paintings but also find some inspiration in them as
I have done from so many other artists, as it is this shared understanding
by artists, of both the compulsion to paint and the task of painting, that
is such a comfort.
Finally, I hope that my love of life, and of this planet, which I have so
enjoyed visiting, shows in my paintings.
